I met you for the first time at GenCon 2011. I was really impressed by our conversation. Since I am new to urban fiction (but I really love the concepts of the genre) I didn’t know what to expect. I enjoy the Dragonlance and those types of works I didn’t know if I would like it as well. However, I thoroughly enjoyed Embers of Atlantis! After the first couple of chapters the story really picked up speed and the last half of the book was simply amazing! As you said above that you were getting a bit too comfortable with dragons and the past and had to bring them forward…this, too, I believe was the same for me; I was getting too comfortable with reading the same paradigm and this book allowed me to branch out. Hello Mr. and Mrs. Hickman. I have just purchased “The Death Gate Cycle” and I was given the first two books of the Dragon Lance Series of Legends. I was confused by several things and have been looking for the Chronicles Trilogy. I have been reading about you and Mrs. Weis and decided to ask a question.
I read Joanne Bertin’s “The Last Dragonlord” and “The Dragonlord and the Pheonix”. She was suppose to write “The Brads Oath” but has yet to release it. Q: What is the possibility of resuming her work, with her permission of course, finalizing the series for her. I really loved her books and noticed that some of your ideas are reflected in her book. They are not the same but similar. I look forward to the Chronicles when I find them. Just finished “The time of the Twins”
I started reading it because of my twin sisters. But decided to read the Chronicles before I read the other two books of the legends.

It’s because of this announcement that I bought the PDF version of the game on RPGnow. So they really could use this as way to relaunch the game. If it has you Mr. Hickman connected to it, I know it has to have something special. There hasn’t been anything you’ve done that I don’t love. The Immortals will always be in my top 5 books and one I always suggest to my friends. It’s an important book. Thank you.
This book sounds really interesting and I can’t wait to pick it up. I noticed Barnes and Noble does not carry it on their site or in store. I went to the Fantasy Flight Games site as well and it said not yet available. Any insight into when this book will be available Tracy?
I think this August is when the book is scheduled to come out.

I loved the Fireborn RPG, but it died and disappeared, and more than a couple years ago.. so, while I’m inordinately pleased to see a novel of the game coming out, I’m wondering what inspired this choice… and can we expect the chance of this being the first step in the game being reprinted?
James, while I have no actual knowledge of Fantasy Flights intentions regarding the Fireborn RPG, I would like to think that they will be using this as a relaunch opportunity.
